Electrotherapy Physiotherapy – How We Treat?
There are so many treatment methods that come under the roof of “electrotherapy in Physiotherapy”. In our electrotherapy, we use electrical signals to interfere with the transmission of neural pain points into the brain. It basically slows down or distracts the pain signals from the nerve to the brain.
From the Physiotherapy point of view, it affects the Patient’s ‘Pain Points’, whether in an episode of acute or chronic pain, which is a basically crucial area of pain treatment and that’s why electrotherapy is a very effective technique where conventional medicine fails.
We have treated hundreds of patients in a span of 9 years where we recovered patients from acute chronic pain without medicines. We have treated patients who are struggling with Knee, Neck, lower back, and back pain with the use of Electrotherapy.
FT (Interferential Therapy) electrotherapy – How it Works?
It is one of the widest-used electrotherapy treatments we use to stimulate affected tissues which provides relief in pain and reduction of swelling. In this, we use a range of frequencies (<250pps) which usually stimulate the body to increase blood flow in affected areas of pain which results in increases healing speed.
IFT physiotherapy is used for the symptomatic relief and management of chronic (long-term) intractable, post-traumatic, and post-surgical pain. One of the most magical things about this therapy is that it is completely drug-free in dealing with the pain that the patient undergoes.
We use Interferential machines which treat pain associated with:
- Neck, Back, and Shoulder Pain
- Osteoarthritis – Pain Caused by wear and tear of Joints
- Rheumatoid Arthritis – In this type of pain foreign substances like bacteria and viruses attacks the joints like the Knee, Elbow, and Finger joints.
- Osteoporosis – In this condition bones become weak and brittle.
- Spondylitis and Ankylosing Spondylitis
- Bruising and Swelling
- Postoperative Pain
- Plantar Fasciitis
- Constipation
- Joint Injuries
- Edema and Inflammation
- Tennis Elbow
- Sports Injuries
If you are struggling with any above issues immediately book an appointment with Align Body. It is 100% safe with No-side Effects.
TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation)
We use TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) to cure patients from pain relief without any medication. In TENS Therapy nerves stimulate to either distract sending pain signals to the brain or it in secreting natural painkillers from our body.
TENS Physiotherapy used to cure
- Osteoporosis-related joint, bone, or muscle problems
- Fibromyalgia-related joint, bone, or muscle problems
- Tendinitis (muscle tissue inflammation)
- Bursitis (inflammation of the fluid-filled pads that cushion the joints)
- Neck pain
- Labor pain
- Cancer pain
SWD Physiotherapy
Short Wave Diathermy (SWD) is a Physiotherapy technique that uses electromagnetic energy to produce deep heating of joints and soft tissues. This type of heating can be applied to deeper structures than other types of heat treatment. That’s why SWD can relieve joint pain effectively, improves soft tissue healing, and decrease the symptoms of osteoarthritis. In this Dr. Richa Gupta is knowledgeable and experienced in the appropriate application of SWD to cure osteoarthritis.
SWD Physiotherapy used to cure
- Musculoskeletal sprains
- Strains
- Muscle spasms
- Joint contractures or adhesions
- Neuromas
Hot pack Physiotherapy
Hot pack Therapy is a type of physical modality often we use in Our physical therapy clinic. Basically, We applied hot packs to the Patient’s injured body part by our physiotherapist. Our physiotherapist wraps moist hot packs in several layers of towels and the hot packs are then applied directly on the exposed area that needs treatment.
Hot pack Physiotherapy used to cure
- Arthritis
- Chronic pain
- Joint contracture
- Muscle spasms
- A chronic injury where increased blood flow is desired
Lumbar Traction Physiotherapy
We at Align Body use Lumbar traction Physiotherapy usually to treat back pain or sciatica and even lower back pain. Lumbar, or low back, traction helps to separate the spaces in between the patient’s vertebrae, the bones that make your spine. In this process, by separating these bones slightly can help take the pressure off pinched nerves to decrease your pain and improve your mobility.
Lumbar Traction Physiotherapy used to cure
- Low back pain
- Sciatica
